This website is a project of the Coordinating Group on Alien Pest Species (CGAPS), the Hawai‘i Invasive Species Council, and the Hawai‘i Biological Information Network, with advice and participation from the Landscape Industry Council of Hawai‘i and its member associations. Funding for website design (design by Mix Plate Media) was provided by the Kaulunani Urban and Community Forestry Program, the USDA Forest Service, and the Hawaii Invasive Species Council. The Hawai‘i Invasive Species Council also supported this site by providing funds to contract noted Hawai‘i horticulture expert Heidi Bornhorst for good planting choices, and providing annual support for the Hawai‘i Pacific Weed Risk Assessment screener, Chuck Chimera. In addition to other projects, the Hauʻoli Mau Loa Foundation supports Amanda Skelton, the Plant Pono and HPWRA Liaison. We believe that an educated public can make a difference. Every single person that pledges to Plant Pono makes a difference.
