Nototrichium sandwicensis
(kulu`i, Hawai`i rockwart)

Kulu`i grows as a tall shrub or small tree, and is used as a potted specimen or an informal hedge. It is great in a lei garden, moonlit garden, or in xeriscaping. The silvery leaves can be made into a silvery maile-like lei. Once established, it is very drought tolerant and can grow in rocky, coastal areas as well as in mid-elevation residential areas.
