Carex wahuensis
(O`ahu sedge)

This grass-like plant will grow 1 to 2.5 feet tall with a spread of 2 feet or more. They can live longer than 5 years and grow in clumps. It is often planted as an accent and is great for low-maintenance landscapes or dry areas of the island. This plant produces brownish, green, red, or yellow flowers that have no fragrance, and it blooms year-round. This plant can attract ants, scale, thrips, mealy bugs and aphids but tends to be pest-resistant if maintained properly.
